Well how has your NBA TEAM DONE AFTER THE FIRST TWO GAMES OF THE PLAYOFFS?
We have had a lot of blowout games. I don't care to watch games that are not exciting and boring. I can use my time better than that. With the entire top analyst picking the L.A. Lakers and Cleveland Cavaliers to reach the NBA Finals do we really need to watch these games? Let's just save the fans money and go straight to the NBA Finals. Not!!! The NBA is way too smart to do this? There is too much money to be made with the rest of the games (series) on the road to the NBA Finals. We all knew last year that Boston was the team to beat for the crown. This year we have a little more options. The NBA marketing machine is promoting to the fans appetite for Lakers versus Cavaliers. Kobe Bryant versus Lebron James.

Here is one blowout game for example the Atlanta Hawks versus the Miami Heat game one on Sunday night. The Heat left their game in South Beach on Sunday Night. The story from the Heat camp was that their 2 captains forbid players to go out and sample the nightlife in Atlanta while there for the first two playoff games. D-Wade had a subpar game himself only scoring 19 points. Let's give Atlanta credit for the defense game plan they played to perfection on Sunday night.

D-WADE RESPONDS TO GAME 1 DEFEAT


I know Wade can play better than this. I got to see D Wade play against Orlando Magic in Feb where he dropped Fifty on Orlando for his then personal best scoring game. This was my first time seeing Dwayne Wade and Dwight Howard in person. Dwight Howard had thirty two points on that night as well.

NBA Playoffs Start

The start of the NBA Playoffs is upon us finally. The Second season has begun.





Is the NBA paving a road for Lebron James to make it to the Finals for the second time?
It seems coincidental that Kevin Garnett is supposedly on the shelf for Boston the rest of the playoffs. Now Boston will have an excuse if they lose before reaching the NBA Finals or Eastern conference Finals. Let's think back to the beginning of the year all the talk was Lebron James is going to New York in 2010 to play for a bigger market team. Lebron does not have a strong enough supporting cast to help him win the NBA Title. I admit the talking about his free agency was stupid because Lebron had another whole year (season) to play. Oh what a difference a season makes for the Cleveland Cavaliers! I want you to think about all the records the Cavaliers have set this year. Best Record in the league(Home Court Advantage throughout the playoffs, Tied Best Home Record ever with the OLD Boston Celtics, Best ever SEASON RECORD FOR A Cavaliers Team,etc.(History in the Making) I have nothing against the Cavaliers. I glad that they have accomplished these feats! I want you to notice now in all the major sports that every time you turn around history is being made.
Now let's say for the sake of argument that Lebron James and Cleveland win the title this year. Does Lebron stay in Cleveland now that he has won a NBA Title? We will see. It should be interesting either way.
Strong contenders for the title this year on the East side Boston, Cleveland, Orlando. Strong Contenders on the West side L.A., Spurs, Denver, Houston.
Even losing to the Bulls today Boston should come back and beat the Bulls in the First Round of the playoffs.

Thanks to a new law, Canada will bestow citizenship Friday on what its government believes could be hundreds of thousands of unsuspecting foreigners, most of them Americans.

The April 17 amendment to Canada's Citizenship Act automatically restores Canadian nationality to many people forced to renounce it when they became citizens of another country. It also grants citizenship to their children.

In the video 'Waking Up Canadian,' a man goes to sleep in a drab room and wakes up to find out that he's become a citizen of Canada. Surrounded by flags, maple-leaf-shaped cookies and a canister of maple syrup, he's welcomed by a hockey player, two plush moose and a uniformed Mountie.

The Canadian government doesn't know the precise number or location of individuals affected by the legislation. But it believes most are U.S. citizens, a spokeswoman for Canada's immigration office said. U.S. Department of Homeland Security records show 240,000 Canadians were naturalized in the U.S. from 1948 to 1977; the new law fixes problems that occurred during those years.

To reach that amorphous group of beneficiaries, the Canadian government has turned to YouTube. It's running an ad there titled "Waking up Canadian," in which a man awakens on April 17 to a room festooned with red-and-white Canadian flags. He's met by a welcoming committee consisting of two stuffed plush moose, a hockey player, and a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

Eligible individuals automatically become Canadian citizens. But they don't get proof of that citizenship unless they apply for it, meaning other countries -- including those that allow people to be citizens of only one nation -- won't be alerted, according to the immigration office spokeswoman. Those people also may renounce their citizenship rights, she said.

The citizenship bonanza is the byproduct of a decadeslong struggle by a motley group of people who claim they were unfairly denied or lost their Canadian nationality. Canadian families who crossed the border in 1947 to 1977 to have their babies in a U.S. hospital found those children weren't recognized as Canadians unless the families registered them with the government. Some foreign brides of Canadian World War II servicemen lost their citizenship if they stayed out of the country for a decade or more.

Then there are the Canadian Mennonites who moved to Mexico in the 1920s to the 1960s. When their children and grandchildren returned to Canada, many found their nationality unclear.

Some such cases languished in litigation for years. Others surfaced in 2007, when new U.S. rules requiring passports for travel between Canada and the U.S. uncovered significant numbers of people who thought they were Canadian, but weren't. The old rules were "quite intricate," said Bill Janzen, an immigration lobbyist in Ottawa for the Mennonite Central Committee of Canada.

The new law offers citizenship to many individuals now in limbo. It also stops the previous practice of granting citizenship in perpetuity to children of Canadians born abroad, limiting eligibility to children of parents born in Canada.

The Masters ended regulation play with a three way tie with the score of 12 under par. It should have never made it two a play off. Kenny Perry was up 2 shots with two holes two play and he gave away the lead by making two bogeys. I wish we could have a device on the player’s head that would show us what they are thinking in the pressure situation? How much are they thinking? We know that too much thinking kills an athlete chance of winning. Elite athlete's tells us about being in the zone where there is not much thinking but reacting to what is going on around you.(environment) I can attest to being in the zone myself. I have reached the zone in playing basketball, tennis and volleyball. It is a feeling of ultimate peace and time seems to slow down almost as everything is in slow motion and you have all the time in the world not thinking about the sport but reacting to the situation at hand.
I sure Kenny's mind went to thinking about winning the Masters and the thought tightened up his muscles to produce the bad swings that got him in trouble on the last two holes.

Once he tapped in on the first playoff hole with a par before the other two competitors he felt redeemed but Angel made a tremendous save to make par. Angel was in the trees after his first shot. Second shot hits trees and bounces into the fairway. Third shot on the green. Fourth shot in the cup from at least ten feet away. Then you could see the surprise on Kenny Perry face when Angel Cabrera made the shot. As we know the rest is History. Angel Cabrera becomes a two time major winner. Angel Cabrera is the first to win the Masters from Argentina.

The 2009 Masters from Augusta, GA is lined up to be a great tournament.









We have many story lines to follow at this year’s Masters. Can Padraig Harrington win a third major in a row? Will Phil Mickelson contend for the Title this year or Vijay Singh? Will another surprise winner emerge from the Masters field this year to win?

Tiger Woods served notice to all the naysayers who thought he would lose the number one ranking in the world. Tiger went on a magical run in the fourth round from six strokes down to win in the Arnold Palmer Invitational in Orlando, Fl. Do we need to still doubt the fight and resolve of this man who won on a busted up leg against the greatest players in the world at last year’s 2008 U.S. Open.

Accident on I-1O Claims Life of College Student

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Bethany Jean Murphy, 21, was killed Tuesday night in a crash on Interstate 10 at Baum Road.
Murphy was headed west in a 1998 Honda Civic at about 9:15 p.m. The car overturned after veering off the road onto the north shoulder. Murphy was ejected from the car and received fatal injuries as a result of the crash.
Murphy was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, according to the FHP crash report.
Alcohol was not a factor. Bethany was a student at Florida State University and a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority.

We are sad to hear that another young life is lost to an accident. We send condolences out to her family and friends. You never know when your life could end. If you have not been telling your loved ones you love them start now and mean it. Give them a hug also and a kiss on the cheek. Unfortunately this young lady want be able to do that anymore.

Harold and Kumar Star Actor Kal Penn to White House

WASHINGTON – The White House has hired actor Kal Penn as a liaison between President Barack Obama's administration and Asian constituents.

White House spokesman Shin Inouye said Tuesday that the actor who had a recurring role on Fox's TV show "House" and has starred in several movies would join the staff as an associate director in the Office of Public Liaison. His role will be to connect Obama with the Asian-American and Pacific Islander communities, as well as arts groups.

Penn starred as Kumar in the movie, "Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay." His "House" character committed suicide in Monday's episode.

Penn backed Obama during the campaign. The White House says a start date for Penn hasn't been set.

The hire was first reported by Entertainment Weekly.

The White house is trying to reach out to all ethnic Americans in the United States.
It will be interesting to see what role Kal Penn will have to play on the world stage in this administration.

Sheryl Crow's oncologist told her: women should not drink bottled water that has been left in a car.

The heat reacts with the chemicals in the plastic of the bottle which releases dioxin into the water. Dioxin is a toxin increasingly found in breast cancer tissue.

So please be careful and do not drink bottled water that has been left in a car. Pass this on to all the women in your life.

No plastic containers in microwave. No water bottles in freezer No
plastic wrap in microwave. A dioxin chemical causes cancer, especially breast cancer.

Dioxins are highly poisonous to the cells of our bodies. Don't freeze your plastic bottles with water in them as this releases dioxins from the plastic.

Recently, Edward Fujimoto, Wellness Program Manager at Castle Hospital , was on a TV program to explain this health hazard.

He talked about dioxins and how bad they are for us. He said
that we should not be heating our food in the microwave using plastic
containers... This especially applies to foods that contain fat.

He said that the combination of fat, high heat,=2 0and plastic releases dioxin into the food and ultimately into the cells of the body... Instead, he recommends using glass, such as Corning Ware, Pyrex or ceramic containers for heating food.... You get the same results, only without the dioxin.

So such things as TV dinners, instant ramen and soups, etc., should be
removed from the container and heated in something else.
Paper isn't bad but you don't know what is in the paper. It's just
safer to use tempered glass,& nbsp; Corning Ware, etc.

He reminded us that a while ago some of the fast food restaurants moved away from the foam containers to paper. The dioxin problem is one of the reasons...

Also, he pointed out that plastic wrap, such as Saran wrap,
is just as dangerous when placed over foods to be cooked in the microwave. As the food is nuked, the high heat causes poisonous toxins to actually melt out of the plastic wrap and drip into the food.
Cover food with a paper towel instead.
